LCSNW Elf The Musical Benefit Performance
Name: LCSNW Elf The Musical Benefit Performance
Date: December 12, 2018
Time: 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM PST
This is a benefit performance for Lutheran Community Services NW and Lutheran Campus Ministry at EWU. Lutheran Community Services Northwest makes our world a safer, healthier and more hopeful place to live for us all. We help vulnerable children, families, immigrants, and others overcome life’s most difficult challenges to become flourishing members of society. Thanks to the support of our generous donors, we save lives and create thriving communities enriched by the diversity and strengths of people who have triumphed over adversity. Lutheran Campus Ministry at Eastern Washington University has ministered to the students, faculty, and staff in Cheney since 1972. Based in Emmanual Lutheran Church, just steps from campus, we are a welcoming and inclusive community seeking to accompany those developing their own faith stories. We encourage questions, laughter, and diversity. ELF is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan, who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother does not believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner ELF. "ELF is happy enough for families, savvy enough for city kids and plenty smart for adults!"
